The Therapeutic Writing Institute. The poems span a period of about 5 years when I spent time in Hawaii with my family. The poems are free verse and are a reflection of things that I had to teach myself, late, through poetry. For me, poetry has been an access point for making sense of deep feelings, and for lots of people, has been a love language, the sound of sorrow, a lifeline and a telescope. I hope you can find yourself in these poems, and feel like you belong to my family...the human race.
